All Lit Up Night Time Bike Ride

June 25, 2016

Best Dressed Winners Neon cropped focus

Our glow-in-the-dark fun ride begins on the 100 Block of West Broadway and travels around Council Bluffs on city streets and on our awesome city trails! Anyone who likes to be active by riding a bike with a fun group of fellow riders is encouraged to join in on the fun (and dress up for a chance to win a Best Dressed Prize as well as Best Decorated Bike Prize).

Shamrock Shuffle

March 12, 2016

The 2016 Shamrock Shuffle took place on Saturday, March 12th, as a fun way for the whole family to dress up and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Participants were encouraged to dress in festive attire and afterward, medals were handed out to the top 3 Men’s, Women’s and 16 & Under Division runners as well as Best Dressed prizes to the three most festively dressed. Another neat addition to this year’s event was a leprechaun who ran in the 5K and if participants got to the finish line before he did, they won a free beverage! A portion of the proceeds from the Shamrock Shuffle were donated to the TeamMates mentoring program.

Connect With Us

Bluffs Downtown was initiated by business owners in Council Bluffs’ historic 100 Block district to create events that would activate the district and drive traffic to the businesses. It has since evolved into a more comprehensive program through merger with the Pottawattamie County Development Corporation, recently renamed The 712 Initiative. As part of The 712 Initiative, events, programming and business promotions will continue to grow and expand in the 100 Block and beyond.
